Ardbeg

Nestled on the rugged Southern coast of Islay lies the birthplace of the Ultimate Islay Malt - Ardbeg Distillery. Established in 1815, the distillery has had a turbulent history. For most of the 1990s its doors remained closed. But, in 1997, whisky lovers were delighted when The Glenmorangie Company purchased Ardbeg and restored it to its former glory.

As well as offering distillery tours and tastings, the visitor centre houses the Old Kiln Café, serving hearty, traditional Scottish food - a favourite with locals and visitors alike.
